Summary

  • The chart could only serve Traefik Control over https, and had no way to add a VPN sidecar to the pod. Traefik Control 1.2.0 can run over plain HTTP (PHX_SCHEME, PHX_URL_PORT); this exposes that and the pod hooks a sidecar needs.

Changes

  • scheme (https default, or http) and urlPort render PHX_SCHEME and PHX_URL_PORT; an unknown scheme or a port outside 1-65535 fails at render time. NOTES.txt follows the scheme.
  • extraInitContainers (a container with restartPolicy: Always is a native sidecar), extraVolumes and strategy are rendered as given; an empty strategy keeps today's behaviour.
  • image.tag and appVersion move to 1.2.0 (needed for scheme: http); chart version 0.2.0.
  • New ci/http-sidecar-values.yaml renders the new values.
  • README documents the options.

Verification

  • helm lint --strict and helm template pass for all four ci/*-values.yaml files (helm 4.0.0).
  • The default render is unchanged except for PHX_SCHEME: "https"; invalid scheme and urlPort values fail with a clear message.
  • Both 1.2.0 images exist in the registry.
